Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

VedJyotix is operated by Vellmont Services (OPC) Private Limited, an Indian company. This privacy policy explains how we collect and handle personal information through www.vedjyotix.com, the VedJyotix seeker mobile app, and the VedJyotix Astrologer mobile app (together, the "Services"). 2. What we collect

We only collect data we actually need to deliver the Services:

  • Account data: name (if you choose to enter one), phone number, email address.
  • Astrological inputs: birth date, time, and place — used to generate Kundali, Panchang, Numerology, and AI reports.
  • Wallet & payments: transaction records, masked payment instrument details from Razorpay. We do not store full card numbers.
  • Consultations: chat transcripts, call/video metadata (start time, duration), reviews you leave.
  • Device data: Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens, Apple PushKit (VoIP) tokens, device platform and language — used solely to deliver notifications and incoming-call alerts.
  • Diagnostics: crash logs and aggregated error telemetry via Sentry. We strip personally identifying information before transmission.

3. How we use it

Strictly to operate, secure, and improve the Services:
  • Match you with verified Vedic astrologers and route consultations.
  • Calculate Kundali, Panchang, Numerology, Gun Milan, and other Vedic computations from your birth inputs.
  • Generate personalised paid astrology reports using AI (currently Anthropic Claude, via OpenRouter). We send only the data you submit and the chart we computed — no email, phone, or wallet history.
  • Process payments through Razorpay; handle astrologer payouts through Razorpay X.
  • Send transactional notifications: incoming call, session ended, wallet credited, payout completed.
  • Diagnose crashes and improve reliability.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not show advertising trackers.

4. AI-generated content disclosure

Paid "Personalized Reports" and the free "Tara concierge" chat are generated by a large language model (currently Anthropic Claude via OpenRouter). The model receives the birth inputs you provide and the chart we compute from them — and nothing else. The AI output is shown as-is for entertainment and informational purposes. 5. Who we share it with

Limited, named third parties — each plays a specific operational role:

  • Clerk — email authentication.
  • MSG91 — Indian phone OTP delivery.
  • Razorpay & Razorpay X — payment processing and astrologer payouts.
  • Neon — managed PostgreSQL database hosting (Singapore region).
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging & Apple Push Notification Service — push and VoIP notification delivery.
  • OpenRouter (Anthropic Claude) — AI report generation.
  • Agora — real-time voice / video transport during consultations. Calls and chats are end-to-end encrypted in transit.
  • Sandbox.co.in — astrologer KYC verification (PAN, Aadhaar OKYC, bank account).
  • Cloudflare R2 — encrypted storage of astrologer KYC documents.
  • Sentry — error and crash diagnostics.
  • Amazon Associates Programme — affiliate links from the Astromall section. Amazon receives only that an affiliated click occurred; we do not pass your account data.
We may also disclose information when required by Indian law or a valid legal process.

6. Where we store it

Primary database and uploaded documents are hosted in Singapore (Neon, Cloudflare R2). Push infrastructure (Firebase, APNs) operates globally. All transit between you and our Services uses HTTPS / TLS 1.2 or higher.

7. How long we keep it

Account data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (Account → Delete account in the seeker app, or write to support), we tombstone identifying data within 30 days while preserving anonymised transaction records required by Indian tax and AML law (typically up to 8 years).

8. Your rights

You can: view your wallet balance and session history any time in the app; correct your birth details on the Account page; download a copy of your reports; delete your account in-app. For any request we can't self-serve, email support@vellmontservices.com — we will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

VedJyotix is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us their data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the Services evolve. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email to the address on your account.
